Statistics on so called ‘honour-based’ abuse offences, England and Wales, 2021 to 2022

In the year ending March 2022, there were 2,887 HBA-related offences recorded by the police. This was an increase of 6% compared with the year ending March 2021.

Forced Marriage Unit statistics 2021

In 2021, the Forced Marriage Unit (FMU) gave advice and support in 337 cases related to a possible forced marriage and/or possible female genital mutilation (FGM).
