After receiving the award, Suzanne shared her thoughts on the honour and her ongoing commitment to this critical work:

It has been an amazing experience. I am grateful for the support of my family, friends, team and managers and their pride in my achievements.

But the important people are those who I have been able to safeguard from violence and abuse throughout my career, this is for you. My hope is that this continues to raise awareness of the issues of Female Genital Mutilation, Honour Based Abuse and Forced Marriage and I will carry on working with my dedicated colleagues to ensure we keep protecting vulnerable people from harm.

Please join us in celebrating Suzanne Jackson and her remarkable achievements. Her MBE is a well-deserved recognition of her years of service, advocacy, and transformative contributions to preventing violence against women and girls. A massive congratulations to Suzanne from all of us at Karma Nirvana!
