Rosa Fund Voices from the Frontline Case Study – Natasha Rattu from Karma Nirvana

In October 2026, Rosa have published an impact report, marking ten years of Rosa’s Voices from the Frontline fund, showing what their investments in women’s and girls’ campaigning have made possible, including a case study on Karma Nirvana’s campaign to introduce a statutory definition for HBA. Taken together, those changes alone have affected at least 13 million women and girls across the four nations.

Launched in 2015, Rosa’s Voices from the Frontline fund is dedicated to campaigning and influencing by women and girls in the UK. Rosa created its Voices from the Frontline fund because it believed that campaigning and influencing deserved dedicated support. Karma Nirvana received funding from Rosa in 2021 to 22 to support our Push for Change campaign, which called for a statutory definition of Honour-Based Abuse.

In October 2026, Rosa published an impact report, marking ten years of the fund, showing what their investments in women’s and girls’ campaigning have made possible, including a case study on Karma Nirvana. The organisations funded through the programme have contributed to nine significant law and policy changes, including our campaign to introduce a statutory definition of Honour Based Abuse. Taken together, those changes alone have affected at least 13 million women and girls across the four nations.

At their report launch webinar on 1st October 2026, we heard from Rosa Chief Executive Rebecca Gill and report author Naami Padi, plus case studies from three Voices from the Frontline grant holder organisations, including Karma Nirvana’s Executive Director, Natasha Rattu.

Watch Natasha share the story of our successful campaign for a statutory definition of Honour-Based Abuse below, or read the full case study on Rosa’s website.
