On the 16th October 2025, the Crime and Policing Bill had its second reading in the House of Lords. During this, Baroness Sugg raised our #Push4Change asks, representing a critical step towards achieving our campaign aims.

Our Asks

• Introduce a statutory definition for Honour Based Abuse
• Duty to issue statutory guidance on Honour Based Abuse
• Make “honour” an aggravating feature in criminal sentencing 

These asks are survivor-led, supported by over 30 VAWG sector partners, and drafted by Naomi Wiseman.
