Karma Nirvana’s Counselling Service operates with the following core principles:
- Client-Centred: Services are designed to meet the individual needs of survivors, empowering them to regain control and heal.
- Trauma-Informed: Recognising and responding to the effects of trauma, ensuring that the client’s experiences of HBA are acknowledged and sensitively addressed.
- Confidentiality & Safeguarding: Strict protocols are in place to maintain client confidentiality, while safeguarding measures ensure that any risk of harm is appropriately addressed.
- Quality & Professionalism: All counsellors are trained and accredited, ensuring they meet the high standards expected in the provision of therapeutic support. We are also a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) – the professional association for members of the counselling professions in the UK (Membership Number: 00276810).
- Accessibility: Ensuring that services are available to individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those from marginalized or at-risk communities.
